The Rotary Club of Whitstable.
Whitstable races is an annual event of pantomime horse racing on Tankerton slopes. This is organised by the Rotary Club of Whitstable to raise funds for local and national charities. To see photos from Whitstable Races 2007 click HERE and for 2008, click HERE
The next Whitstable Races will take place on Sunday June 14th 2009
Whitstable Races 2009 will be bigger and better than last year - it's going to be competed internationally this time around!
Pat Marsh from BBC Radio Kent will again be comparing the event and adding his very special type of entertainment.
The aims of Whitstable races are:
1 To be a stimulus for trade in Whitstable and to continue to put Whitstable
on the map as a vibrant seaside town welcoming visitors.
2 To provide a family friendly fun packed afternoon for spectators and entrants
with a high participation factor.
3 To raise significant funds for worthy charities both nationally and locally.
To enable Whitstable Races to be successful we need people to get involved whether by entering teams or by sponsoring races of horses.
To get involved, or to be a WR Sponsor or to become a WR supporter please click on the tab on the top left of this page.
For any further information please click onto the Get in Touch tab and we will get back to you without delay.
To make Whitstable Races work we need local businesses and enterprises to play their part by supoporting us financially and we need local people to enter teams. Just look at the photos on the Photos pages to see how much fun we all had in 2007 and 2008 to see how your business can benefit from the exposure of helping us as well as giving to charities and putting something back into our local community.
